Our vision: The aim of the Sandwell Drug and Alcohol Partnership (SDAP) is to reduce drug and alcohol-related harm to users, families and communities in Sandwell.
Our mission: To work with the people of Sandwell to:
- raise awareness of drug and alcohol misuse
- offer help and support
- prevent drug-related deaths and infection by blood-borne viruses
- reduce drug and alcohol-related crime and reoffending
- help people into work and to keep jobs
- help people find and keep suitable housing
- improve health and wellbeing

Understanding drugs & alcohol
Many people drink alcohol, and in the most part, it does not cause problems. However, heavy drinking or alcohol misuse can lead to a range of problems. In the short term, alcohol misuse contributes to weight gain, depression and raised blood pressure.
